R. A. Puram school supports local donation drive for Keralites affected by floods

A flood relief collection drive for people of Kerala affected by the severe rains and flood was hosted at Bamboola School, R. A. Puram in association with Path NGO this past week.

Volunteers collected essentials and new clothing from donors living in this area of the city. The drive was held for 4 days in the school premises.

Team Bamboola did the job of collecting, segregating, packing and loading the relief material in the truck which was routed to Idukki, Wyanad. 

Path NGO consolidated all of Kerala relief material collection efforts at three locations – in T.Nagar, Nungambakkam and Perambur.

Bamboola also donated Rs. 30,800 for the drive and this was used to purchase groceries and medical necessities. The relief truck left for Wyanad on  August 13 evening.

“We hope this collection will be of some help to some of the 60,000 people who have lost their homes and belongings,” said Sujata and Vatsala of Bamboola which is based on  Venkata Krishnan Road in R. A. Puram
