Trinity Arts Festival adds to the December Season mood of music and dance in Mylapore with its launch this Friday evening. N. Ravi, publisher of The Hindu is the chief guest and a slew of awards are to be presented to artistes and arts promoters.
The fest is promoted by newspapers Trinity Mirror and Makkal Kural.
The event is at R R Sabha, Mylapore, 5.45 p.m. onwards.
Thereafter, dance guru Urmila Satyanarayanan and her dancers present – Meera – The Lotus of Prem – a dance drama.
Concerts are on till Dec.14 with stars like Shashank, Nithyashree, Sirkazhi Sivachidambaram and Ramakrishnan Murthy and dancers like Roja Kannan.
There is a dance conference on Saturday and Sunday, mornings.
