A rally for water conservation and saving trees

On July 5 morning, the students and staff of St.Francis Xavier School at T.T.K Road, Alwarpet held a rally to spread awareness regarding water conservation, and saving trees.

More than 50 students gathered outside the school’s gate and raised catchy slogans with placards and handmade posters. “In order to make the students understand the importance of the campaign, they were asked to design and write slogans by themselves,” says Arokya Mary, the Headmistress of the school.

The need to avoid plastic usage was also stressed during the rally.

M. Selvakumar, a school’s alumnus has helped to organize this rally. “He has been actively volunteering to help in our school’s activities,” she says.
