The state government has recently sanctioned Rs. 22.84 crore for the creation of three lane uni-directional link road connecting Greenways Road and Durgabai Deskmukh Road.
The road is expected to ease traffic congestion during peak hours. The alignment of the road has been finalised by the Highways department. The road will run adjacent to the Government Music College. It will be an ‘L’ shaped road, which will run through the land belonging to the Animal Husbandry department before exiting along the boundary of Dr. MGR Janaki College for women, R. A. Puram.
