School education minister says a revised exam schedule will be announced for Class X students

The school education minister K. A. Sengottiyan announced on Monday (April 20) that the revised dates for the class X Tamilnadu state board exams would be announced on May 3 after the lockdown. The exams, he says, will be held on a tighter schedule. He also said that social distancing norms will be followed during the exams.

S. Bhooma, the principal of P. S. Matriculation School, Mylapore, says, “The students have been studying ever since the lockdown. Our teachers have been clearing their doubts and instructing them through Whatsapp. The students have also been watching Kalvi TV. Students need atleast one week of revision with their teachers at school before the exams are held. We are hoping they get that time”.
