Since the past few months, Chennai Corporation has been carrying out door to door survey to identify residents with virus symptoms (cough, fever, breathlessness). A few weeks ago, the civic body also recruited people to perform the same.
Now, a civic staff says that they continue this survey at all households in the neighbourhood.
Says an animator attached to a local ward, “Our staff continue to perform door to door survey to curb the virus spread. Every day, they visit a designated number of houses alloted to them to perform fever survey. At every door, the surveyors check the temperature of the residents besides checking them for other virus symptoms.”
