Fitness enthusiasts were seen walking up and down the empty flyovers in Alwarpet and in Royapettah High Road ( Jammi Buildings side) on Sunday evening as the lockdown faded on one more Sunday.
The ones who walked up and down must have found the incline to their liking and since the flyovers were barricaded they knew they were safe walking there.
But some others in the neighbourhood were critical of this action, saying lockdown rules applied to all and must be respected.
Over recent weeks, more and more people are out on the roads and inner street areas with avenue trees to walk and exercise. Some frequent playgrounds like the Alphonsa ground near the Airtel office in Mandavelipakkam.
Some others who have always spent time in parks say it is time parks are opened to the public with regulations in place and for limited hours.
