A teenage girl residing in Leith Castle North Street ( off San Thome High Road) has been arrested and later let on bail after local police charged her for the death of the watchman employed in her apartment complex.
This incident took place late on Wednesday night when the girl who had driven back home, drove into the parking lot and ran over the watchman in the dark.
Foreshore Estate police investigating this case said that the girl claims she did not notice the sleeping man but after she parked her car, noticed a bed sheet piece stuck underneath the car and yanked it off. But later, when the family went down to have a look and when other residents spotted the dead man who had been run over and alerted the local police, the girl realised what she had done.
