The staff at Sri Ayyappan Temple in MRC Nagar use fresh vegetables, flowers, fruits and thoranams to decorate the temple for the New Years that is celebrated by Keralites, Tamilians and the rest.
This Wednesday morning, the goodly visitors, mostly families who went around in prayer were also greeted by the vegetables and flowers dangling from each shrine.
Some people have been critical of the decorators wrapping the fruits and flowers in plastic, done perhaps to keeo these fresh.
All visitors wore masks but some had them on their chins.
