Sri Kapali Temple will be closed today – Sunday to people in order to curb what is usually a big rush at the temple on Aadi amavasyya.
On Saturday night, the area in front of the temple gates were barricaded.
There will be an abhishekam for Somaskandar but devotees will not be able to have darshan of the abhisekam.
The temple will also be closed to devotees on Wednesday on the occasion of Aadi pooram. This is in addition to the closure next Friday to Sunday as per the new lockdown restrictions
Temples closures will create much problems in future, covid-19 will increase alarmingly even 3rd phase also will increase always.
Wine shops, cigarettes, animals slaughter to be closed permanently.
