The past weeks, sports coaching is getting back to life. Much of it is in cricket.
The F3 Cricket Academy in R A Puram, near the Ambedkar Mantapam is abuzz now, with over 50 boys and girls taking turns at the nets and around.
This place, owned by Ramco is now the venue for cricket coaching as well as for a fitness centre that is open to all. T M Thangavelu oversees this place.
A coach who is employed at the academy says that presently four coaches report for work and one more is due to join as more children report for training and new registrations are coming by. A few girls, some teens are also keen to join, we are told.
Coaching is held here 4 to 6 pm on weekdays and 8 to 10 am on weekends.
The fitness centre is open mornings and evenings.
