Athletes of Rani Meyyammai Girls Higher Secondary School in R. A. Puram have impressed in the game of softball recently.
The students participated in a state level softball tournament held at Tharamangalam, Salem in early September. The Chennai team won the third place.
“Out of 12 students of our school who participated in that state level tournament five
students were selected for TN state softball team,” said a note from the school’s HM.
They were B. Esther, V. Sapna, M. P. Mahalakshmi, V. Janani and K. Kiruthiya Kanmani
They took part in the national level softball tournament held at Lovely University, Jalandhar, Punjab recently.
The school management thanks the president R. Balamurugan, general secretary P. Biju Daniel, coach N. R. G. Barathwaj and the school PT teachers S. Bhayalakshmi and S. Srinivasan for providing opportunities to the school students.
