A section of P S Sivaswami Salai was closed to motorised traffic since Monday morning after a section of the road sunk. This is happening for many a time in the same area.
The affected road lies between the round tana at the Ramakrishna Mission Students Home and Royapettah High Road junction.
A burst in the underground sewage pipeline is said to have caused the sinking of the earth here. This case has been taking place off and on in the same zone.
