This church group donates push-cart to less abled hawker

Lenten season for Christians, which is on currently, is a time for prayer, penance and works of charity.
In keeping with this spirit, the unit of Saint Vincent de Paul Society of  Our Lady of Guidance Church in R. A. Puram, led by Previn Vincent, sponsored a push cart for a physically challenged hawker of this area.
The cart was handed over to Manikandan who used to sell candles outside the church campus. Manikandan cannot walk or talk properly. His hands are also affected. However, in spite of his disabilities, he says he makes it a point to do all he can to earn his living.
Impressed with his determination, the Saint Vincent de Paul Society unit team decided to help him out. The push cart the unit has donated can now be used it to sell stuff and help increase earnings.
The cart was formally handed over to Manikandan by parish priest Fr. Y. F. Bosco on  March 29.
Saint Vincent de Paul Society units based in local churches primarily carry out works of charity with donations made by church goers and well-wishers.
