The centenary of nagaswaram vidwan Karukurichi Arunachalam is being celebrated at two events in Mylapore.
On April 25, the venue is Raga Sudha Hall, Luz and it is a day-long event, with the best nagaswaram artistes in concerts – at 9 am, 11 am, 3 pm and 6 pm.
This Monday evening, state minister Thangam Thennarasu will release a special postal cover marking the vidwan’s centenary. At 5 p.m.
On April 26 evening, at R R Sabha, Mylapore a Tamil book of essays on Karukurichi Arunachalam will be released. At 6 pm, followed by a nagaswaram concert. The events have been curated by Parivadini.
