Grand pushpa pallakku procession of Lord Singaravelar . . .

Karthigai is a special day for Lord Singaravelar. At Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple, Monday evening marked the completion of the month-long Vasantha Utsavam.

With this being the first Karthigai star of the new Tamil year, Lord Singaravelar, as part of the final procession of the Vasantha
Utsavam, went on a grandly decorated pushpa pallakku around the Mada Streets starting just after 7.30pm.
Devotees had been talking about and looking forward to this procession even before the start of the
Vasantha utsavam were present to watch Singaravelar in one the grandest alankarams carried on a pushpa pallakku.
After a month-long break, the evening artha jaama procession inside the temple after 9pm will resume this week.
