Bharatanatyam gurus and artistes will be decorated with awards at the annual day event of Association of Bharatanatyam Artistes of India ( ABHAI) to be held on Sunday, June 12 morning at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore.
The awards are for 2021 and 2022
Guru K. Kalyanasundaram Pillai presides, S R Gandhi of the state’s Art and Culture Department is the chief guest and guru Sudharani Raghupathy will felicitate the awardees.
Among those who will be decorated are the Natya Kalanidhi award-designates, Chitra Visweswaran ( featured in the photo here) and Lakshmi Vishwanathan.
The event starts at 10.30 am and is open to all.
