Plants in ‘hanging gardens’ under flyovers wilt

Beautification of public spaces with plants is one thing but maintenance is a tall task, often neglected.

Chennai Corporation contracted work to ‘beautify the spaces below its flyovers and contractors raised rows and rows of plant holders on the pillars of the flyovers and placed plants in them to create a green wall.

But in some places the plants have died. Only the holders remain.
