The annual drama fest of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was launched on Thursday, July 7 evening. Senior actor Delhi Ganesh was decorated with the ‘Iyakkunar Singaram K. Balachander’ award. Arts promoter Nalli Kuppuswami presented the award.

The late drama and film personality K. Balachander’s family – daughter Pushpa Kandaswamy, daughter-in-law Geetha Kailasam and son Prasanna were present at the award event.
Later, SBS Creations staged its popular play ‘ Bharathi Yaar?”.
Plays are to be staged on July 8, from July 11 to 15 daily at 6.30 p.m.
