The first set of hawkers of dolls and images have set up shop on North Mada Street.
First off, are sale of images of lord Krishna for Sri Krishna jayanthi.
Veeramani, a hawker whose stall is outside Yes bank on this street says he hopes the sales will be good after the past two years of pandemic disaster for people like him, economically.
The images are from Panruti and Cuddalore, with price tags from Rs.100 to Rs2500 an d the large sizes about 31/2 ft tall.
