Chennai Schools exhibit models themed on Climate Change, Wealth from Waste

There was some extra buzz in the Chennai Schools run by the city’s civic body recently as student teams engaged in a contest that asked them to use simple/waste materials to create model projects on themes like Climate Change and Wealth from Waste.

The contest, held at the local and cluster level has now moved to the finale.

At the local and cluster level, prizes were given to student teams.

Says Anthoni Kavitha, HM of the Chennai Middle School in Ramakrishnapuram, located off Kutchery Road, ” We allowed the juniors to work with their parents on the theme and asked them to keep the models simple. We received some good entries.”

The team from CMS, Slaterpuram ( located behind the MRTS’ Mundagakanni Amman rail station) built a light house based on the one on the Marina.
