This far, the kolu bazzar on North Mada Street does not seem to have the zing of festival shopping.
There are less hawker shops as on Sunday and most images on sale are large and priced Rs.500 plus; the prices are certainly putting off many shoppers and some are asking why small bommais are not being displayed and sold at the shops.
The variety in the bommais is not here and this perhaps is one reason why the buzz is still low on this street which should have on fire on the eve of Navaratri.
Shoppers are streaming in but sales are less than average.
