This bazaar is run by student entrepreneurs of Lady Sivaswamy Ayyar Girls School. Event on Jan.30.

This is a novel event at a school campus to be held on Sunday.

The Young Entrepreneurs Bazaar is being organized at  Lady Sivaswamy Ayyar Girls Higher Secondary School, Mylapore, at 11am on January 30.

The event is being organised to mark the culmination of the 15-day Young Entrepreneurship course which was organised to promote the concept of Learn & Earn among students.  

The programme was which was offered complimentary for students of Class IX as a CSR initiative of Madras Management Associtation(MMA) is supported  by ACSYS Investments & AS Trust.

The unique curriculum for the course is designed by MMA with support of Padmaja, CEO of Victory Insights, as knowledge partner.  Students were trained in numerous entrepreneurial skills besides creating awareness about basic business concepts such as input cost, output cost, pricing, revenue, profit, basic accounting, says R Venkataraman, General Manager, Madras Management Association

To encourage the students put up stalls, they are formed into groups and are being provided “seed money” to purchase the necessary raw materials to set up stalls.  

Students would demonstrate their creativity through display of a wide range of decorative products, show pieces, greeting cards, snacks and eatables during the bazaar.

The unique initiative is aimed at promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship through the concept of Knowledge, Attitude, Skills and Habits (KASH).

Parents and students from other neighbouring schools have been invited by MMA to the Bazaar and encourage the young entrepreneurs.
