One-time Mylaporean Satish Viswanathan, now in USA, is on a mission here: to guide students pursuing commerce and finance streams

Satish Viswanathan is a Mylaporean who went to P. S. Senior Secondary school and RKM Vivekananda College (for his BCom studies).
After  successfully completing chartered accountancy ( CA) and working in senior management roles  for several years with HP and Microsoft , Satish co founded an organisation named eVidyaloka in 2011.
eVidyaloka is a non profit organisation that aims to brighten the futures of rural children and uplift communities through digital classrooms conducted by volunteer teachers across the world.
This Sunday, on Feb. 26,  he is giving a presentation at Sanskrit College, Mylapore between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on how studies in finance / chartered accountancy are good career options and on the opportunities they offer.
Satish currently lives in Dallas and despite being away from India, he was actively involved in helping out during Chennai 2015 floods.
During the pandemic time, he started an initiative  called “Munnetram Class with Satish”. The focus was on government school students in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, pursuing commerce and finance streams.
Satish says he wants to produce 1000+ finance professionals in India from underprivileged families by year 2040. He teaches for free to financially challenged students for high school exams as well as for CA foundation courses.
Currently he is on a tour  around Tamil Nadu visiting different government schools.
On Sunday, he will be on familiar turf, in Mylapore where he grew up.
