The HR & CE minister P. Sekar Babu has okayed a sum of Rs.10 crores for the renovation of the temple dedicated to saint Thiruvalluvar.
This money will be used for renovation of the temple in Mylapore, says a note from Mylapore MLA, Dha Velu.
Community activist Baskar Seshadri, who shared a photo of the foundation stone of this temple ( seen above) says that the temple completes 50 years since its formal opening in April 1973.
