20 additional priests from across the state have joined the hereditary priests at Sri Kapali Temple on the eve of the commencement of the utsavam.
Some of these priests will go along with the Pancha Moorthy procession while a few others will decorate the swami and ambal after they are back, ahead of the next procession.
There will also be priests who will manage the moolavar sannidhis and the six kaala pooja every day during the utsavam period.
