Partly re-laid R. K. Mutt Road and uneven mada streets could pose problems to Panguni utsavam procession

With 24 hours to go for the start of the Panguni Utsavam at Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple, the Mada Streets are just not in the condition for the chariots of the temple, carrying the swamis, to move smoothy on the daily processions.

The top layer of West Mada  Street ( R K Mutt Road) had been creamed off a fortnight ago for relaying of the road.  Only one side of the road has been relaid.
There are pits on this road on the path where pancha moorthy idols will make their way on a procession tomorrow morning and through the utsavam period.
The north east junction off this main road is also uneven.
The Sripatham personnel carrying the swami/s say that the current state of the roads is likely to pose a challenge for them.
