The year-long 125th anniversary celebration of the founding of the Ramakrishna Mission in the city have come to a close. An event was held on May 1.
Editor of Thuglak, S. Gurumurthy was the guest. Also present were swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, vice president of the Mission and the Math was present.
A video on the progress of the Mission’s movement was released.
Swami Satyajnanananda, secretary of the Mission’s Students’ Home was also on stage and spoke.
On April 8, prime minister Narendra Modi had taken part in a grand event to mark the milestone; it was held at the Vivekananda Illam off Kamaraj Salai. ( photo used here was shot at this event)
