The Carnatic music community will remember Thirupoonthuruthy V Venkatesan who propagated the compositions of Swami Narayana Tirtha; he passed away in April 2017.
The Trust that Venkatesan founded is celebrating his 90th birth anniversary on May 14 with an event at Narada Gana Sabha mini hall, Alwarpet.
At 4.15 p.m. concert recordings of Venkatesan will be played. Then follows Namasankeerthanam and at 6.30 pm, a music concert by sisters Anahita and Apoorva.
