C. P. R. Environmental Education Centre (CPREEC) based in Alwarpet in the C P Art Centre’s campus, marked International Tiger Day with an Inter School Quiz Competition.
This was held on July 28 and several city school students participated.
The top three winning teams were from these schools – Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Sr. Sec.School, T. Nagar, G. K. Shetty Vivekananda Vidyalaya Sr. Sec. School, Ambattur, and Saraswathi Kendra Learning Centre for Children, Alwarpet.
CPREEC is a Centre of Excellence in Environmental Education set up in 1989 by the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India and the C. P. Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation.
Since its inception, CPREEC has been conducting several awareness programmes on environmental education throughout the country.
