The football team of Rosary Matric Girls School, San Thome has won the Chennai Zone B inter-school football tourney for school girls in the under-14 category.
The team beat St. Raphael’s Girls School team 2 – 0. The final was played at the GCC ‘Alphonsa’ playground in Mandavelipakkam recently.
Six teams participated.
The team will now play at the next level involving winners of all the city zones.
Epsie Kala is the PT teacher at Rosary. The coach is Nirmal from Pattinapakkam who runs a football academy locally where many school girls are coached at a ground along the Marina Loop Road..
