Sri Ariyakkudi & K. V. Narayanaswamy Memorial Trust is hosting the launch of the Prof. Palghat K. V. Narayanaswamy centenary celebrations this Friday evening ( Sept.1) with an event at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore.
The governor of Telengana, Tamilisai Soundararajan is the chief guest; she releases the second edition of a book on K. V. Narayanaswamy.
Mridangam vidwan Dr T. K. Murthy is to be honoured with an award.
Later, there is a concert by vidwan Ravi Kiran on the chitra vina.
This celebration continues on the weekend – at Arkay Centre, Luz
On Sept.2, among the artistes on stage are Nisha Rajagopal ( vocal ) at 4.30 pm and Shertalai Renganatha Sarma ( vocal) at 6.50pm. On Sept.3, concerts include those by Gayathri Girish ( vocal) at 4.30 pm and T V S Mahadevan at 6.45 pm
