RAPRA grants funds valued at Rs.1.6 lakh to local area students

Raja Annamalaipuram Residents Association (RAPRA) held it’s eighth Annual General Body meeting on  Sept.24 at Raja Muthiah School campus.

On this occasion, scholarships valued at Rs 1.6 lakh were distributed to 40 students of neighbourhood Chennai schools and government-aided schools.

V. Arunachalam, retired Deputy General Manager, ISRO was the chief guest.  He presented a slide show on ISRO and the latest Chandrayan 3 mission.

Akshay Bhagwat, State Bank of India,  R. A . Puram branch manager traced the history of SBI and their schemes to celebrate the 50th year of this branch.

A free eye-screening camp on refraction, pressure and to detect cataract was held by Lawrence & Mayo.  Free spectacles were given to 13 poor people.

The state’s Horticulture department team sold garden tools, manure, coco-peat, seeds and saplings to garden enthusiasts.
