National Cadet Corps – army wing – was inaugurated in Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Mylapore on November 16 in the school premises.
The programme started with unfurling the NCC flag by the chief guest Sub. Suresh Kumar – Senior JCO, 1(TN) CTC NCC.
The prayer song and the NCC flag song were sung by the school choir.
K. Harini, school pupil leader welcomed the gathering.
The chief guest in his special address said that the aim of NCC is to develop confidence, courage, discipline, decorum and winning attitude in the young minds of students.
The managing committee members Dr. Vathsala Narayanaswami – secretary (NBGES) and V. S. Subramanian – secretary (Sir Sivaswami Mat. Hr. Sec. School) also spoke.
The Headmistress and Asst. Headmistress also spoke briefly.
Student M. Akshaya proposed the vote of thanks.

I studied in Chellammal Bala Vidyalaya and Lady Sivaswami School.This School is very close to my heart.That time Sathyabama teacher was the Headmistress.Mythili teacher was Maths teacher.
