December Season 2023: this fest at ‘intimate’ venues showcases classical, folk and theatre

This December Season is witnessing some unique events which.are small and curated in newer spaces for small audiences. And performances beyond just classical music and dance.

One such is being called Kutty Kutchery Festival.

This fest is curated Laasya Narasimhachari, daughter and disciple of famed dance gurus Narasimhachari and Vasanthalakshmi.

She is also the founder of Rasoham, a public charitable trust  based in Alwarpet. Vasanthalakshmi is the author of the trust.

The ‘Kutty’ festival is happening at venues across Chennai over 10 days from December 15 to 24 in 10 alternate and intimate venues, showcasing 10 shows showcasing different genres of the arts by well-known artistes. Classical, folk and contemporary dance, music and theater will be showcased in this festival, says Laasya.
The fest opens on Dec.15, 5 pm with a dance recital at Rasoham, Alwarpet by Vasanthalakshmi Narasimhachari (seen in the photo)
