Fifteen groups present carols at church in Luz. Open-air event ran for three hours.

Over the past week, as the countdown to Christmas began, many Christmas events have taken place in neighbourhood church campuses.

Our Lady Of Light Church in Luz hosted a Christmas carols programme on December 16 evening in the open air.

Fifteen groups from different zones of the parish community including the Catechism children, Youth groups, English choir, Tamil choir, the nuns from St. Isabels and nuns from Stella Maris College took the stage.

The event began with a Bible reading by Fr. Sathish. There were three guests for the evening- Sr. Fatima the Superior of Stella Maris College, Sr. Fatima, the Superior of St. Isabels and  A. Aboobucker, chairman of Clarion Hotel President.
The carols were sung in English and in Tamizh. The programme went on till 10 pm. and ended with Santa Claus doing the rounds and a thank you note proposed by parish priest Fr. G.J. Anthonyswamy.
