Mandaveli Raja Street Residents Welfare Association ( which covers the community in south east end of R A Puram) is having its 8th annual Pongal festival celebration and margazhi kolam competition this Sunday.
On Jan. 21, in the central section of Raja Street, Mandaveli, the kolam contest begins at 3pm ( registration is closed for this event now)
There are traditional games for the community 5pm onwards.
People from adjoining areas can come by and enjoy the celebration.
