At this Thyagaraja aradhana, young artists were awarded  

The open-air theatre space of Sunaadalahari, musical wing of the Indira Ranganathan Trust at Alwarpet, echoed with renditions of Thyagaraja pancharatna krithis as part of the Thyagaraja aradhana event on January 31.

Vidushis Suguna Vardachari, Aishwarya Shankar, K Gayathri,  Amritha Murali,  Vidya Kalyanaraman, Brindha Manickavasakan and Aarathi Bharadwaj rendered the krithis.

Vidwans R K Shriramkumar,  K Arunprakash, B Ganapatiraman, Vijay Ganesh and  K V Gopalakrishnan accompanied the  vocalists.

Awards were given to young musicians— Shruti Shankar Kumar and Dhanush Anantharaman – vocal, C Charulatha – veena, Gayathri Vibhavari and Madan Mohan – violin , Nikshith Puttur and Pazhani Balaji – mridangam.

They performed at concerts during Sunaadalahari’s December Music Season festival 2023. Students of Sunaadalahari music classes and the awardees also joined in the Pancharatnam.
