How to come to the aid of people who suffer heart attack. P. S. Senior students learn the basics

P. S. Senior Secondary School in Mylapore collaborated with Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet, to conduct a Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (or what is commonly called CPR) training workshop for Class 10 students on March 3 on the school campus.

Abhinav Saran, a Class 12 student, co-ordinated alongside Banu Prakash from the hospital. Dr Karthik Raja, duty medical officer and Swetha, a paramedic, guided over 50 students and teachers through the key steps for CPR.
The students gained hands-on experience performing chest compressions and rescue breathing learnt how they could come the aid of people who collapse or have a heart attack.
