The annual Radha madhava thirukalyanam is to be held at Sankara Gurukulam, C. P. Ramaswamy Street, Abiramapuram, from March 14 to 16.
Here is the schedule of events:
March 14 / 6 30 p.m.: Bhajans by Hari & Giri bhagavathar and party
March 15 / 8.45 a.m.: Geetha Govindam by O. S. Sundar bhagavathar and party. At 4 p.m.: Panchapathi – by O. S. Mohan, O. S. Mukundan and Sriram Natesan bhagavathar
At 7 p.m. : Divyanama Sankeerthanam and Dolotsavam by Mohanoor Srikanth Kountinyan and party
March 16, Sunday / 8 a.m. – Radha Madhava Vivaham in bhajan sampradhya by Sreevanchiyam Murali bhagavathar and party. At 5 p.m. – Villisai by Madhuvanthi Athreya. At 6.30 p.m. – Bhaktha Charitram by Cudaloore Gopi bhagavathar and party.

This particular Radha madhava thirukalyanam is said to have been started some 40 years ago by the Mani bhagavathar family which used the gurukulam space as a venue. It was conducted in a small, quiet manner.
In 2000, a few families of the area took it on themselves to continue the celebration. Said Vijayalakshmi Chandramouli whose family is deeply involved in this event, “Dr. Revathy Ananathasubramaniam and others have closely supported this effort and kept the tradition going, enlarging it to be a three-day festival attended by a large number of people.”
