The Maharashtra Association, Chennai celebrated Chatrapathi Shivaji jayanthi and Maharashtra Day on May 1 2025 at Sanskrit College auditorium in Mylapore.
Dr. R. Sridhar, former professor of mathematics of MatScience, Chennai was honoured with the Great Maratha Award.
The chief guest was Dr. Sudha Seshayyan, scholar and former vice chancellor of The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University. She honoured six children with Young Maratha Awards.
Dr. Sudha then spoke on Chhatrapathi Shivaji.
