Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Gandhi Institute of Computer Education and Information Technology Centre at East Mada Street, Mylapore, offers a free course in the basics of computers for educated unemployed youth from poor families to pick up skills.
Courses cover MS-Office with Tally and in DTP.
The Bhavan says these courses have helped many students to secure employment at various levels.
Senior citizens can also sign up for courses in Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet use.
