After months of agony and frustration, motorists and pedestrians using the Thiruvengadam Street – Venkatakrishna Road – Devanathan Street zones are smelling the tar and having a smooth ride, but partly.
A section of the badly-propped up Thiruvengadam Street in Mandaveli was relaid properly on Wednesday and more work will be carried out, it is expected.
This street and the junction ahead were left in a pathetic condition after Metrowater undertook a major pipe laying work. Shoddy post-project work only created a mess here.
