Madhurambal Viswanathan, wife of late N. Viswanathan and a long-time resident of Mandaveli, R.A.Puram, passed away at her residence on Sunday, June 8.
Viswanathan, a reputed builder, founded Madhurams named after his wife, following his retirement from Ms Chitram & Co.
Known for her simplicity, piety, and warm hospitality, Madhurambal endeared herself to all who knew her.
Her family said she visited Kapaleeswarar Temple almost daily, with her family playing an active role in major temple festivities like Thirukalyanam and Vaikasi Visakam.
She is survived by her sons V. Kumar and V. Ganesh, daughter Vijayalakshmi, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
