Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan presents ‘Summer Stages 2025’, its annual theatre fest at its main auditorium in Mylapore, for five days – from July 8 to 12. The plays start at 6.30pm on all days.
The Fest will feature five Tamil plays which includes ’Thanneer Thanneer’ by Komal Theatre and ‘Paayum Oli’ by Threeentertains.
The prestigious ‘Iyakkunar Sigaram K. Balachander Memorial Award 2025’, instituted by Kavithalaya T. Krishnan, will be presented to T. V. Varadarajan in recognition of his signal contribution to theatre. The award will be conferred during the festival – on July 9 – which coincides with K Balachander’s 96th birth anniversary.
