Chennai Corporation-engaged workmen are erecting metal handrails all along the pavement of South Mada Street, alongside the tank of Sri Kapali Temple, Mylapore.
This work will cover the pavement from the R. K.Mutt Road point to the East Tank Street point off the mada street.
Mylaporeans who care for civic betterment say they hope the bunk shops, junk and waste here will be removed for good and violators tackled. They want GCC to stop food and other hawkers from hijacking the space.
