Lots of religious items handed over at collection event in Chitrakulam zone

The effort to collect old religious items last Sunday was a success  with a big response . This was evident in the boxes of materials piled up at the venue – Subbi Chetty Choultry in Chitrakulam zone , Mylapore.
Most donations were photo frames, calendars, painting works and pooja items. Four lorries were hired to ship the items to a place in Tambaram where they will be sorted out and recycled.
Many volunteers were from Bangalore, some IT professionals. The collection centre hall was packed by noon time.
The event was organised by Kamakshi Samskriti Trust and a Rotary unit of Bengaluru
The trustees said they wish to conduct similar event in other parts of Chennai like Nanganallur and Triplicane
in the days to come if they get a sponsor to support the event .

  1. Well planned & executed. Kudos to the organisers. Where in Chennai next? Sponsorship should be by whom? You need a place, fund or what’s needed?
