In memory of Gandhian Mamani T. D. Tirumalai, the founder-secretary of the Alwarpet- based Gandhi Peace Foundation and and to observe Hiroshima Day, a two-hour teachers’ workshop on peace education is being organised on August 9.
Schools interested in starting a Peace Club in their schools, educating students in a culture of peace and building a war-free world may send one or two class-teachers of classes 5 or 6 to participate.
Teachers will get orientation in the methodology of teaching peace, receive a gift of story books related to the concept and a participation certificate.
Seats are limited to thirty. Registration by ‘first come first served’ basis.
