MADRAS DAY: Six Talks at Arkay Centre. Aug.22 onwards

Madhuradhwani is hosting a series of Talks. At Arkay Centre, Luz.
The events are open to all. 

On Friday, there are two talks – One, at 5.30 p.m – on the life and times of actor Manorama by T. Krishna Kumar and second at 6.45 p.m. – on ‘The Intrigues, Eccentrics, and Scandals That Shaped a City’ by Venkatesh Ramakrishnan.

On Sunday, Aug 24 – 5.30 p.m./ Sridhar Venkataraman on Celluloid Republic: 50 Years of Tamil Cinema and the Making of a People’s Identity”. At 6.45 p.m. / Jayaraman Ragunathan speaks on ‘Glimpses of Old Madras Through the Journals.’

 On Monday, Aug 25 – at 5.30pm / Justice Prabha Sridevan on ‘Favourite Food Memories in Madras.’  At 6.45pm / Dr. Chithra Madhavan speaks on ‘Interesting temple inscriptions of Chennai’
