Major sewage pipeline relaying work is in progress at the Thiruvengadam Street intersection outside Ragamalika Apartment.
This is leading to long traffic jams on the already strained narrow Thiruvengadam Street which is bearing the heavy inflow of bus traffic owing to Chennai Metro rail work.
People may plan alternate routes during peak hours though this is the best pathway for diverted traffic.
Reports have also come in that local SWDs were damaged when the sewage pipeline work has been undertaken.
